“because beauty should be good for you … it’s that simple.”

So why did I join Beautycounter, you ask? Ok maybe you didn’t ask, but here’s my story anyways …

Clean living has become a passion of mine. I first started switching to cleaner beauty / cleaning products in 2016, when I became pregnant with Murphy. I had a major awakening after realizing that many of my bath, beauty and cleaning products could affect my baby. This was eye opening, and I quickly started changing all the products I was using.

I continued on my search of “clean” products after her birth. This was challenging, because I found that many clean products did not perform as well as their counterparts. I have gone through soooo many different brands. I finally gave Beautycounter a try and was super impressed on how well their products work (I use their bath, skincare and makeup products).

Fun Fact: I took samples of Beautycounter skincare to the hospital with me when I had Mac in June 2020. The little sample packets were prefect for my hospital bag.

When I made my first order, I ended up joining as a consultant on a whim. I thought to myself, “clean beauty is important to me and I will probably be ordering more Beautycounter products to try, since they seem to work better than other brands I have tried. So why not sign up and get the discount?” Win, Win.

BEST DECISION EVER

Because I joined primarily for the discount, I didn't realize what else I’d get out of becoming a consultant. And it has been a lot more than I could have ever imagined.

Here’s what I didn’t expect …

  • An AMAZING community

  • Tremendous personal development

  • Ongoing education about cleaner / safer products

  • Advocacy and a passion for sharing this movement with everyone

My WHY has morphed into so much more than just a discount. Six months after initially joining the movement, my WHY has become so much more — to share cleaner / safer products with everyone. To educate others on ingredients that may be adversely affecting their health, without thier realization. To advocate for stricter regulation around beauty products. And to promote transparency. Not just for me and my family, but for YOU as well.

Beautycounter is more than just products - it’s a movement.

“ One by one, we are leading a movement to a future where all beauty is clean beauty. We are powered by people, and our collective mission is to get safer products into the hands of everyone. Formulate, advocate and educate — that’s our motto for creating products that truly perform, while holding ourselves to unparalleled standards of safety.”

I believe when we know better, we do better.

xoxo,

MC
